Youth Enrichment

Summer Camp

For children ages 6-12.

June 4-July 19, 2024

The Camp HOPE Initiative began in the summer of 2007 under the direction of Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church (LHMBC) in partnership with the Village of Lincoln Heights and Princeton City School District.  At the time, It was the vision of the LHMBC senior pastor to help youth in the Lincoln Heights and Princeton City School District.  It was the vision of the LHMBC senior pastor to help youth in the Lincoln Heights Village progress in their education through a summer camp.  Since that time, it has grown into a highly anticipated and respected learning program for children residing within the Village of Lincoln Heights and surrounding neighborhoods (Lockland, Reading, Woodlawn, Wyoming, Evandale). Over the years, area businesses have joined in this collaborative effort.

Program Mission

Camp HOPE’s program promotes service to children.  Its mission is to increase the learning potential for children by providing activities to strengthen academic and social skills and promote emotional well-being.  The camp strives to Help Other People Elevate by Highlighting Opportunities Possible for Everyone in a nurturing and enriching learning environment.

Administration and Organization

Currently, H.O.P.E. is part of our Enrichment program that includes after school programming.

We make the following pledge of service:

  • We aim to nurture campers in a safe and loving environment
  • We commit to engaging campers in learning experiences that enhance the academic, social, and emotional needs of every camper and to providing top quality service.
  • We dedicate our service to promoting excellence in the lives of children, youth, and adults.

The philosophy of Camp HOPE Cincy is grounded in the belief that learning is a continual process that occurs in the various settings between people and their environments.

Camp HOPE Cincy works to provide academic and social learning experiences in a nurturing, loving environment.  Fields trips, projects, and structured play activities are combined, highlighting ways learning occurs in all aspects of our environment.  Children practice using effective communication and collaboration skills important in interacting positively with others. As a result, they learn and understand how to apply academic and social skills in real-world environments.
